what it is

  • A working terminal in the browser: try help, ls or meow.
  • On devices that can handle it, the page becomes an interactive 3D model of a desk, with the live terminal and the contacts on its screens.
  • The green cat on that desk is the one at the top of this site's home page.

how it works

  • Static Astro pages with vanilla TypeScript: the terminal and the contacts work with no 3D and no network.
  • A small script decides before the first paint whether the device can take 3D; three.js then loads as its own chunk.
  • The desk is a compressed glTF model with baked day/night lightmaps.
  • A strict hash-based Content Security Policy with Trusted Types, and no third-party scripts.
